St Julian's Bay Holidays
The popular holiday resort of St Julian's Bay is located on Malta's northeast coast. The bay has grown from a quiet fishing village into one of the island's premier resorts. Its curving bay is an ideal location for those seeking relaxing sunny days and lively nights. The bay is named after the chapel of St Julian. In recent years, the town's pretty old buildings have benefited from sensitive restoration.
The beaches of St Julian's Bay include: the small sandy beach of St George - popular with sun bathers; the numerous lidos, which are complete with a wide selection of water sports; and the small rocky beach of nearby Paceville, which is a popular haunt for scuba divers and snorkellers. A visit to the island isn't complete without enjoying a relaxing coffee and soaking up the pretty views across the bay to the capital, Valleta.
Evenings in St Julian's Bay are spent drinking in lively bars and dancing in salsa clubs. The strip of bars, cafes and restaurants that line the bay attract a young crowd - not just tourists but young Maltese as well. Despite this vibrant scene, St Julian's manages to retain its traditional charm.
