Moraitika Holidays

Situated on the east coast of Corfu, the resort of Moraitkia is seven miles, (12 kilometres) from Corfu Town. The resort has grown extensively in recent years and has now practically merged with neighbouring Messonghi. Holidays in Moraitkia are based around a sand and shingle beach, with its warm shallow waters and picturesque backdrop of rolling hills and olive groves.

More active beach goers can try their hand at a wealth of water sports or take boat trips around the coast. Lining the beach is a lively strip of music bars and souvenir shops where visitors can indulge in a little shopping, or relax over drinks and soak up the atmosphere. The resort appeals to a wide variety of holidaymakers, including families, couples, and young party goers.

Popular excursions include visiting the Roman ruins, taking a stroll to the original village of Ano Moraitika, set in the hills above the resort, with its narrow streets and traditional Greek houses, enjoying a fun day out at Aqualand, and taking trips to the island's capital, Corfu Town. Evenings in Moraitkia feature a multitude of bars, tavernas and restaurants serving a wide selection of cuisine, from local Greek dishes to traditional British menus. Those who fancy a late night can visit one of the lively discos or nightclubs.
