Sa Coma Holidays

On the east coast of Majorca, the fine white sand of Sa Coma beach stretches one kilometre along the coast and is lapped by crystal-clear waters. A pedestrian promenade runs the length of the resort and is lined with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. This modern purpose-built resort proves particularly popular with British tourists, especially families and couples.

Bordering the resort is Punta de N'Amer - a beautiful 200-hectare protected nature reserve. Visitors can hike up through the reserve to the 17th-century watchtower on the headland and enjoy breathtaking views of the bay. Those wishing to explore a little further can mosey along the promenade to the traditional fishing village of S'Illot. While Sa Coma does offer a number of lively bars, this is not the place for partygoers. Those looking for more vibrant nightlife can hop on the tram and head to the nearby Cala Millor. Alternatively, it's five minutes in a taxi.

Situated 40 miles east of Palma, Sa Coma is approximately a two-hour coach journey from the airport. During the summer months, buses regularly run to the neighbouring towns of Palma, Manacor and Cala Millor. Those who have opted to hire a car can enjoy popular day trips to: the Caves of Drach, the monastery of San Salvador and the African wildlife park.
