Calas de Majorca Holidays

The modern purpose-built resort of Calas de Majorca is perched on a hilltop overlooking three small sandy coves. The beaches are named Cala Antena, Cala Domingo Petis, and Cala Domingo Grans. The latter is the largest of the beaches measuring 100 metres in length, but does have a tendency to become overcrowded. All three beaches have fine white sand and clear waters with a good selection of water sports.

Children will enjoy exploring the coastal caves and rocky outcrops. Visitors can make their way between beaches by strolling down the scenic coastal path, taking in the dramatic views along the way, or by simply hopping on the Calas Express road train. The majority of the resort's bars and shops can be found at the Centro Commercial. Evenings are a relaxed affair with a choice of restaurants, bars offering live music, and even a couple of nightclubs.

Set on the east coast of Majorca, the resort is 44 miles from Palma. Transport here is somewhat limited but regular buses run to Palma, Manacor and Porto Cristo during the summer months. Alternatively hiring a car may prove the easiest option. The nearby town of Felanitx offers a bustling Sunday market, which is well worth a visit for the keen haggler. Also in the vicinity is a zoo and tropical bird sanctuary. Calas de Majorca is a 60-minute drive from Palma airport.
